How do you pronounce Caipirinha?

Caipirinha is pronounced Kai-Pee-Reen-Ya, while Cahaça is pronounced Kah-Shah-Sah.

THE RECIPE  (2 servings)

1 - Juice 3 limes until you have about 1/3 of a cup of juice (that's the secret!)

2 - Cut the other 2 limes in 8 parts each (these are the chunks we’ll muddle)

3 - Add the cut limes, and 3 tablespoons of sugar to the cup and muddle (muddle well)

4 - Add the lime juice and 3/4 cup of cachaça and stir gently (about 2 minutes, until the sugar dissolves)

Cheers!

WHAT IS CAIPIRINHA ?
Is cachaça a type of rum?

Cachaça is a distinctly Brazilian product, distilled from fermented sugarcane juice. While rum can also be made from sugarcane juice, most is distilled from molasses.
The type of rum made from sugarcane juice is known as rhum agricole, and is therefore a closer stylistic match to cachaça. In both, you’ll find more of a range of grassy and vegetal flavors, with a distinctive funkiness.
Cachaça is not a rum.
